Yes, that was recently used to describe the place where I live. Allegedly, yesterday's earthquake could have only been a dress-rehearsal for a much bigger earthquake on the way. Well, things had been eerily quiet earthquake-wise recently. I suppose those tectonic plates have lost time to make up for.

As my last one had been there since January (where did all those months go??) and I guess it was making me look lazy to still have it up there. Not that anyone comes to my page anyway (and not that there's anything to see here in the first place.)

So, what's new?

I have a lot of home-grown tomatoes. Frankly, I had no idea just a couple of tomato plants could be so prolific. Now what the hell do I do with all these tomatoes?

No, she's not Dutch, she's Spanish. So just be careful not to mention anything about bullfighting, flan, or flamenco dancing if you don't want your life to be cut unexpectedly short. =P

I managed to quietly turn 30, without going crazy, and am proud of myself for that.

I feel like this is a good opportunity for a fresh start on life, the best of any I've had lately. As though I had died and from now on each day is a gift. Weird... Though it's doesn't really feel any different than when I was 20 or 25. Except that I dare say I know so much more now.

I was preparing a Thai noodle dish tonight. I was cutting up some jalapeño peppers. Some jalapeño pepper juice somehow managed to squirt up my nose as I was doing this.

This is certainly a miserable experience.

Don't attack jalapeño peppers with sharp objects, people! It's like engaging a Giger alien in melee.

Ouch ouch ouch ouch...
